2006
GTI opened its doors with foundation clients Club Med and The Travel Corporation.
2007
Our team cut our teeth on exciting sustainability projects – we established The Travel Corporation’s non-profit entity TreadRight.

2008
GTI launches its destination marketing & PR division with Tourism Australia, Vanuatu, Kenya and Papua New Guinea as clients.
2009
GTI records significant growth and attracting blue-chip clients including Marriott International and LATAM Airlines.
2013
GTI records strong performance across PR and Marketing divisions. Marriott International appointed GTI as APAC PR agency.
2015
Awarded at Australian Industry Awards – ASTW – for Best Tourism Organisation and Crisis Management.
2019
Won PR Agency of the Year (Mumbrella) and Marketing Campaign of the Year (Aust Travel Awards).
2021
After almost two years of closed borders from Covid-19 travel from and to Australia resumes.
2023
GTI joins global network MMGY TMC and post Covid rebuild begins.

Sarah Anderson
Founder and Managing Director
Sarah Anderson is the founder and managing director of GTI Tourism. She has 23 years marketing and PR experience across tourism, lifestyle, hospitality, property and technology sectors. Sarah was awarded as Travel Weekly’s Mentor of the Year in 2016, and has contributed to the travel industry as Committee Member of the Council of Australian Tour Operators, and Chair of the Association National Tourist Office Representatives.
