2006

Founded

GTI opened its doors with foundation clients Club Med and The Travel Corporation.

2007

sustainable tourism

Our team cut our teeth on exciting sustainability projects – we established The Travel Corporation’s non-profit entity TreadRight.

DESTINATION REPRESENTATION

GTI launches its destination marketing & PR division with Tourism Australia, Vanuatu, Kenya and Papua New Guinea as clients.

2009

AGENCY GROWTH

GTI records significant growth and attracting blue-chip clients including Marriott International and LATAM Airlines.

2013

strong performance

GTI records strong performance across PR and Marketing divisions. Marriott International appointed GTI as APAC PR agency.

2015

Awards

Sarah Anderson

Founder and Managing Director

Sarah Anderson is the founder and managing director of GTI Tourism. She has 23 years marketing and PR experience across tourism, lifestyle, hospitality, property and technology sectors. Sarah was awarded as Travel Weekly’s Mentor of the Year in 2016, and has contributed to the travel industry as Committee Member of the Council of Australian Tour Operators, and Chair of the Association National Tourist Office Representatives.

Abbey Sands

General Manager

Abbey has more than 10 years experience spearheading campaigns across travel, hospitality, food, wellbeing, alcohol and beauty industries before specialising in tourism marketing and communications.

Thalia Aconley-Rae

Public Relations Group Account Director

A PR gun and well-known in the industry, Thalia spearheads the GTI PR team overseeing all activity and campaign success.

Kim Ryan

Sales & Marketing Account Director

Kim brings 12 years’ travel experience to leading her accounts, with expertise across the cruise, coach touring, DMO and retail travel agency sectors.

Kerrin Trenorden

Sales & Marketing Account Director

Kerrin has been working in the tourism industry for more than 20 years and has extensive experience across a wide range of tourism sectors including destination sales and marketing, aviation, corporate and retail.
