Part Time Accounts Officer

GTI Tourism is seeking a permanent, part time Accounts Assistant to join its team three days a week. The candidate will work alongside an Accounts Manager to deliver end to end accounting services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, recharging expenses, payroll, taxation and preparation of accurate reports for management.

The role will include the following tasks:

Accounts Payable:

  • Process supplier invoices ensuring accuracy of entry and GL coding
  • Recharge invoices to clients
  • Process payments

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate monthly fee invoices for all clients
  • Generate monthly expense invoices
  • Follow up where required for invoice payment

Staff Expenses:

  • Ensure all staff expenses are submitted on time via the correct process
  • Process expenses
  • Create expense invoices for clients
  • Reimburse staff members

Company Credit Cards:

  • Process multiple company credit cards on an ongoing basis
  • Recharge expenses to multiple clients
  • Reconcile Credit Card

Bank Reconciliation

  • Reconcile bank accounts(s) on a daily basis

Payroll

  • Maintain accuracy of employee details and salaries
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Calculate and process the following on a monthly basis:
    • Payroll tax
    • Superannuation
    • PAYG
  • Provide all staff with end of financial year payment summaries
  • Process BAS quarterly

Other

  • General Ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Journal entries (including accruals)
  • All end of financial year requirements

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years end to end accounting experience
  • Certificate IV in accounting highly desirable
  • Experience working with MYOB AccountRight Premier
  • Experience with multicurrency transactions in MYOB
  • Must have solid experience with reimbursables in MYOB
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
